  • What are the contents of the ATOM Car Navi SDK?

    The ATOM Car Navi SDK contains the complete ATOM Spoken Dialogue SDK. In addition, it contains a multimodal framework (as C++ soure code) capable of fusing spoken language input with input coming from a graphical user inteface. Finally, the SDK rcontains all required grammars, dialogue scripts, databases and applications to build a complete car navigation reference application. All grammars, databases and dialogue scripts as well as the multimodal framework are included as source code.

  • What is the advantage of the ATOM Car Navi SDK compared to the ATOM Spoken Dialogue SDK?

    Because the ATOM Car Navi SDK contains a complete reference application as source code, it reduces the learning curve to build a car navigation application.

Car Navigation-specific Issues

  • Are map databases included?

    Map databases are not included in the SDK. Third party map databases such as Microsoft MapPoint or other proprietary databases can be integrated through the APIs contained the ATOM Spoken Dialogue SDK.

  • Can a GPS receiver be integrated?

    GPS receiver can be integrated. Information provided by the GPS will be forwarded to the dialogue system similar to the way speech recognition issues speech recognition events.
