SignTap Kanji

Don't know how to pronounce the character... Radical? Stroke Number?

The SignTap Kanji allows you to enter Chinese characters into your computer to look up words and characters without knowing their pronunciation. SignTap system is based on the structure and form of a character, so that you can input it without knowing pronounciation. The Rule is Simple�FLook Kanji Structure from Upper Left Corner to Bottom Right Corner

The basic of Kanji stroke requires to draw a kanji from upper left to bottom right corner. SignTap adopts this basics.

Let's look up a word�u�V�����vby using SignTap Kanji system
��The pictures below are screen pictures of ElectricWords dictionary.

First, look at the first letter�u�V�v. Following the rule Look at kanji from upper left to bottom right, you can find a small composition.

SignTap Kanji Start Page already displaying frequently used patterns, select the one showing the letter having a small composition on the corner of upper left. Here in the picture, a appropreate pattern is in a red circle.

Upon you selection of a pattern, next page will display potential composition. Then select�u���v(in a blue circle in the picture).

Then Kanji characters which has �u���vcomponent on its upper left corner will appear. You can now find the letter�u�V�v. Click this (only three click so far).

Next, look at the second character�u���v of�u�V�����v.

This character also has a small components on the upper left corner .�u�\�v.

Select the appropreate pattern (circled in the picture).

Then the character�u���vwill appear as one of potentials.

Upon clicking this character, the word�u�V�����vwill be shown as an example which start with�u�V�v and followed by�u���v.

Only 5 clicks and you now has the word. Only 3 clicks for finding a sigle character�u�V�v.

You will no need more than a several seconds once you get used to use this system.
